MADRID PROTOCOL COMPOSITE SEARCH
The Madrid Protocol Composite Search package is for composite marks having both a text component (word or phrase) and a searchable design component. This search combines a Madrid Protocol Word Search for the text component (all classes) with a Madrid Protocol Design Search for the design component in selected classes. The report contains an extract of the official records for each trademark in descending order of relevancy. Each extract includes an indication of the current status of the trademark and a full reproduction of the mark.
If your trademark consists of stylized text (words or letters in a particular shape, font, or style of lettering) without a separate design element, select either the Madrid Protocol Word Search to search the words or letters themselves. If it is a design or shape itself you want searched, and not any letters or text, then choose the Madrid Protocol Design Search. If you submit your design/graphic/logo via electronic file (email attachment), we can accept most common graphic file types.
To help you decide which classes are most relevant to your trademark, we suggest you use our online Trademark Acceptable Identification of Goods & Services Manual, typing in key words (one at a time) which best describe your goods or services. Look for results designated with a "T" for Trilateral. If you have questions about the proper classification of your design trademark, call us and we will help you determine the best fit.
Reports will generally be in English except some of the WIPO records may be in Spanish, Italian, German or French. None of the non-English records will be translated into English. |
